This ACGME-accredited one-year fellowship is sponsored by the Department of Pathology and the Section of Dermatology. Dermatopathology training occurs each morning throughout the year, including a daily consensus conference with all four faculty members and all trainees. Concurrent cross-training in Dermatology or Pathology is emphasized as essential to the practice of dermatopathology, with a longitudinal experience for eight months during the year. Four months of the fellowship is devoted exclusively to the study of dermatopathology.
Participation in dermatopathology research and presentation at a national conference are supported and expected. Strong collegial interactions between the Dermatology Section and the Department of Pathology, and between the four faculty Dermatopathologists, are a hallmark of our program.
