Women outdoorsNational Resident Matching Program

Our Residency Program participates in the National Resident Matching Program. Applications for PL-1 positions are accepted from September through December 1 through ERAS only, with the NRMP match occurring in March. We enthusiastically participate in the couples' match within our own program and with other residency programs in our medical center and then work with other programs to coordinate the schedules to make it possible for couples to spend as much off-call time together as possible. DHMC does not discriminate in hiring on the basis of age, sex, race or national origin, disability, or sexual orientation.

What to submit

We will be able to consider a candidate once the following information is received:

  • ERAS application
  • CV
  • Transcript
  • USMLE Step 1 score
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Personal Statement

Please note: All applicants, including DO's, must submit USMLE scores.

Mark and puppyInterview process

Upon the approval of the selection committee, applicants will be invited to attend one of Open House Interview Days. Alternative dates for interviews will be determined on an individual basis. The majority of our interviews are conducted in November and December. Invitations to interview with our program will be sent via e-mail.

In addition to the program requirements mentioned above, our Graduate Medical Education Office provides specific institutional eligibility requirements, including information about VISAs.

Please note that the State of New Hampshire requires a passing score on all parts of Step 2 in order to be eligible for a medical training license.
