The Northern New England Geriatric Education Center (NNEGEC) improves health and quality of life for older adults in New Hampshire and Vermont by providing interdisciplinary and experiential education and training in evidence-based geriatrics to healthcare professionals.
The NNEGEC is dedicated to:
- Supporting the education and training/retraining of faculty who provide instruction in geriatric medicine
- Providing students in the health professions with clinical training in geriatrics
- Developing and disseminating curricula and toolkits focusing on the treatment and prevention of health problems in older adults
- Offering continuing education for health professionals who provide care in New Hampshire and Vermont
