The Center for Rural Emergency Services and Trauma (CREST) is a Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center program designed to improve the emergency care of rural patients through efficient access to specialty care when necessary, and through support of high quality local care whenever possible.

CREST makes the resources of tertiary level hospitals available to rural healthcare organizations. The principle components of CREST are:

  • Clinical process improvement
  • Educational enhancement
  • Research into rural emergency care
