Bequests Through Wills and Trusts

Remembering DHMC in your will or trust is a thoughtful and widely used method of giving. There are no complicated tax rules to follow and you maintain control of your assets during your lifetime. This type of giving is very flexible, so you can always revise your plans as your needs change. There may also be tax advantages for your estate and your heirs.

You may designate a specific dollar amount for DHMC in your will or donate a certain percentage of your estate. As with any planned gift, you may choose to benefit a specific program or service or allow your gift to be used on an unrestricted basis. Unrestricted gifts allow DHMC to apply your gift wherever it is most needed when received.

We would be pleased to provide you or your attorney with the appropriate language for your new will or trust or to update an existing one.
