Diagnostic X-Ray

The Diagnostic X-Ray Division utilizes the most advanced imaging technology available. Since 2004, the Division has worked in close partnership with Philips Healthcare as one of the company’s luminary sites. As a luminary site, we have the privilege of working with, evaluating, and helping to develop cutting-edge imaging technology. Philips designs and produces imaging software and equipment, which we then test, providing feedback throughout the development process. X-Rays are used in many applications, some of which are not conducted in the routine DX area. A full list of the diagnostic and interventional applications of X-Ray is available here.

Clinical services include:

Equipment
The Diagnostic X-Ray Division now operates ten Philips digital radiography rooms, seven Philips computerized radiography workstations, three Philips digital fluoroscopy suites, and a Hologic Dexa Scanner.

The implementation of digital and computerized radiographic equipment has enabled DHMC to improve image quality while greatly decreasing patient dose, and wait times, for all of our studies. Access to digital and computerized imaging allows staff and physicians to view and share images with ease, improving the overall efficiency and quality of medical care provided at DHMC.
