ALS Clinic

The ALS Center currently offers the following services:

• A multidisciplinary clinic that meets once a month and offers speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, neurology, pulmonary medicine, nutrition, nursing and social worker assistance to help manage some of the challenges associated with ALS.
• The opportunity for ALS patients to have their blood checked for abnormalities and biomarkers that may assist in the search for an underlying explanation of the condition.
• An avenue for information and guidance pertaining to ALS patients and their families, including a support group which meets regularly.
• Epidemiological and genetic studies being conducted to investigate the unusually high incidence of ALS in the Upper Valley area.
