After you have had gastric bypass surgery, you will need to change the way you eat for the rest of your life.
The surgery will reduce the size of your stomach (about the size of a hardboiled egg). This reduces the amount of food you can eat and makes you feel full after eating very small meals.
Your overall food intake is therefore reduced, which will help you to lose weight.
