Brian Sites, MD
Director, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Center for Ultrasound-Guided Regional Anesthesiology
Director, Regional Anesthesia Program
Dr. Sites is a graduate of the Dartmouth-Brown Medical program. He completed his anesthesia residency at DHMC. He is a national leader in the use of ultrasound imaging and technology to facilitate peripheral nerve blocks. He is the lead author in multiple on-going clinical trials utilizing ultrasound in comparison to conventional techniques.

Chris Wiley, MD

Christopher Wiley, MD
Dr. Wiley is a graduate of Stanford University Anesthesia Program. Chris has expertise in math, design, and producing new anesthesia products. He is actively involved in regional anesthesia simulators and the development of a new and safe intrathecal catheter. He maintains an ongoing relationship with the Dartmouth College's Thayer School of Engineering.

Michael Beach, MD

Michael Beach, MD, PhD
Dr. Beach is a graduate of the University of Chicago Medical School and the Massachusetts General Hospital Anesthesia Program. Mike has a PhD in statistics and happens to be one of the most gifted regional anesthesia technicians. He is involved with several research projects in both the Anesthesiology department and in DHMC's Norris Cotton Cancer Center.

Brian Spence, MD

Brian Spence, MD
Dr. Spence is the most recent addition to our Block Staff. He is a graduate of both Dartmouth College and DHMC Anesthesia Program. He is a biomedical engineer and is very actively involved in research surrounding the role of ultrasound in facilitating regional anesthesia. He also is certified in the use of TEE.

Jeffrey Clark, MD

Jeffrey Clark, MD
Dr. Clark is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Medicine, where he also completed his residency in Anesthesia. He then went on to a Cardiothoracic Anesthesia Fellowship at Duke University. He is involved in research involving many aspects of ultrasound, from hand held echocardiography to peripheral nerve blockade.

Robert Jarrett, MD

Robert Jarrett, MD
Dr. Jarrett is a graduate of Medical College of Georgia. He completed his anesthesiology training at the University of Utah and then fulfilled a Critical Care Fellowship at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. He is currently involved in examining regional additives to augment block length and attempts to decrease volume of regional anesthesia blocks at equal potency and longevity.

Dr. Parra

Michelle C. Parra, MD
Michelle is a graduate of the University of Iowa School of Medicine. She completed her anesthesiology residency at DHMC and continued on to finish her fellowship in ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia at DHMC. She is interested in system-based practice and team building around the delivery of acute pain management.

Nursing Block Team:
The nursing team provides sedation, monitoring and physician assistance within the block program. Our collaborative approach results in a satisfying and efficient patient care model.
