A Letter from the Directors

Dear friends and colleagues:

Please join the Dartmouth medical community for our sixth Symposium on the Great Issues in Medicine and Global Health. This year's topic is "Silent Emergencies: What Is Killing the World's Children?" Our goals are to illuminate and discuss "quiet" public health emergencies that destroy children's lives. We will also describe, endorse and support simple solutions. A variety of venues are available, some open to the public, some targeted at secondary school students, others customized for health professionals. Come, participate, and help develop solutions for protecting the world's children.

Yours truly,

John Butterly, MD
