DHMC Related Links
The office of Community Health Improvement & Benefits (CHIB) uses public health principles, which view all the people in our service area as one patient, to promote good health community-wide.
Within DHMC, we help set priorities for the institution's community health initiatives. We join with United Way and other partners to help set goals and assess health needs. We arrange for DHMC staff and other resources to support local projects that share these goals.
All of the activities we have described are called "community benefits." CHIB coordinates DHMC's Community Benefits program, which includes filing an annual report with the State of New Hampshire and a community needs assessment every five years. These documents must be posted on the Internet by law.
