Travel Information
Transportation
Airports -- In general, the best airport to use for this area is the Manchester NH airport. Southwest Airlines operates out of this airport, and offers great discounted fares. Their tickets are only sold through their website below. Boston's Logan airport is also a good choice, and there is a great bus service from Logan directly to the Hanover / Lebanon area (see below). Lebanon has a small airport with flights to Boston only.
- Lebanon Airport - located in Lebanon NH, this is the closest airport to DHMC (Airport code: LEB). The only carrier to fly into Lebanon is Cape Air (www.CapeAir.com), with service to Boston.
- Manchester Airport - The Manchester NH airport is a medium sized airport, served by many of the major carriers -- Delta, United, USAir, and SouthWest airlines, a discount airline whose flights are NOT listed in Orbitz or many of the other airline search engines -- you need to book on their website directly. It is approximately a 1.5 hour drive from Manchester Airport to the Hanover/Lebanon area.
- Logan Airport (Boston) -- Approximately 2.5 hours away.
- Burlington International Airport -- Approximately about 1.5 hours away.
Bus Service
- The Dartmouth Motor Coach operates a great bus service between Hanover and Boston. Pick-ups are in Hanover (Just in front of the Hanover Inn, near the Hopkin's Center) and Lebanon (at the Bus Terminal, on Etna Road), and it delivers you to both South Station and Logan. They show movies, and it's (almost) non-stop -- there is a pickup in New London.
- If you are coming from NYC, you can now take a luxury bus from the Yale Club to Hanover, NH. The cost of a roundtrip ticket is approximately $150. You can review the schedule at http://www.dartmouthcoach.com/new-york-service.html
