Confidentiality

  • Records are not shared, nor in any way incorporated into a personnel file or medical record.
  • A signed release of information authorization is required for release of any information to a third party unless there is genuine reason to be concerned about the safety and/or well-being of the employee/family member, or another person.
  • Electronic communication with the EAP (e.g., email and fax) is possible. Because the program cannot guarantee the confidentiality of such communications, personal interaction (i.e., face-to-face or telephone) is recommended.
