![]() | In her role as director of the Center for Informed Choice at the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice (TDI), E. Dale Collins, MD, serves as the Center's medical director. Dr. Collins is also professor of surgery at Dartmouth Medical School and chief of the Section of Plastic Surgery at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. She has used the principles of shared decision making in her treatment of patients with breast cancer for many years and is actively involved in planning and implementing strategies that provide models for linking research and clinical practice in informed choice. |

She provides information, training, and collaboration regarding the principles and implementation of shared decision making with staff at DHMC and medical centers throughout the United States and internationally, and provides decision support for patients who need help with medical screening and treatment decisions. |
| Susan Z. Berg, MS, CGC, is program coordinator. Sue has many years of experience as a genetic counselor, working with patients and families faced with difficult decisions. She provides decision support for patients who need help with medical screening and treatment decisions, day-to-day program management, and collaboration with DHMC caregivers to integrate informed choice tools and processes into clinical settings. |
