“I have a son that I passed on my bad genes to and I was interested [in the SPORT study] thinking of him. The nice part of being in the research program is that when you are having difficulties, when you call, they have an answer for it or they make you feel better by the time you get off the phone. It’s a very comforting feeling to know that there are people there who will help you.”

When I received the letter about participating in a clinical trial, I thought what a wonderful opportunity it would be for me to give back to a hospital that did so much for me, personally. I would recommend participating in a clinical trial to anybody out there who wants to help out their community, a hospital that does so much for the community, and to make all of our lives better."
