A clinical trial is a research study in which individuals can choose to voluntarily participate. The purpose of a clinical trial is to study the effectiveness of a new treatment usually involving a new drug or device. Throughout DHMC and Dartmouth College, scientists and physicians work in partnership with volunteers from the community to develop new treatments at the cutting edge of medical practice. |
