The Section is staffed and equipped to manage the needs of all pediatric patients requiring radiotherapy and offers advanced and highly conformal, three-dimensional planning, stereotactic radiotherapy treatments (SRT) and intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT). This is critically important in the treatment of pediatric patients. The Section works collaboratively with Anesthesia when pediatric patients require sedation during treatment. In addition to performing stereotactic radiosurgery and stereotactic radiation therapy, the Section also radiosurgery (SRS) to treat pediatric cancer.
