Pediatric Plastic Surgery is a comprehensive program that provides high quality tertiary care for congenital, traumatic, and post-oncologic pediatric deformities. The Section plays an integral role in the CHaD Craniofacial Anomalies Clinic ("Face of a Child Program.") Staff members have a special interest in the reconstruction of syndromic craniofacial anomalies including Apert, Crouzon, hemifacial microsomia, Treacher-Collins, Goldenhar, etc. The treatment of non-syndromic craniosynostosis (premature skull fusion), plagiocephaly (abnormal head shape), ear and nasal deformities, cleft lip and palate and pigmented and vascular birthmarks represent the mainstay of our clinical services. The Section works closely with Pediatric Neurosurgery, Pediatric Dermatology, Pediatric Ophthalmology, SpeechPathology, Otolaryngology, Maxillofacial Surgery, and Genetics.
