The DHMC Program in Clinical Ethics offers the following services as it fulfills its mission to serve as a resource to the Medical Director, Medical Center staff, our patients and their families:
- Clinical consultation services
Serves as a resource to DHMC personnel, patients and families in dealing with ethical questions related to hospitalization and treatment
- Educational programs
Sponsors educational programs for its members and the broader health care community in the region
- Clinical ethics research opportunities, and
- Community outreach
The functions of the Program in Clinical Ethics are carried out by the members of the Bioethics Advisory Committee and its subcommittees:
- Clinical Consultation Subcommittee
- Education Subcommittee
- Policy Subcommittee
- Infant Care Review Committee
