Fisher Cats Foundation Presents $51,315.97 Check to CHaD The Fisher Cats Foundation today presented the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth (CHaD) with a check for $51,315.97 at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Manchester. The charitable donation represents 50% of the money raised through ticket sales and a Silent and Live Auction at the 2008 Granite State Baseball Dinner. Learn more

CHaD Battle of the Badges
More than $72,000 was raised by the inaugural CHaD Battle of the Badges, held on March 30 at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, NH. Firefighters and police from across the state joined forces to raise money and play hockey to benefit the children and families of CHaD. The NH Police scored the final victory on the ice, and the NH Firefighters scored big as the highest fundraisers… bragging rights are entitled all around! Learn more
9th Annual CHaD Ski & Ride Festival
The 9th Annual CHaD Ski & Ride Festival was held on Saturday, March 22 at the Dartmouth Skiway, under sunny skies with lots of snow! More than 120 participants raised over $94,000 while taking part in games and enjoying a great day of skiing. There were terrific costumes, a BBQ and lots of prizes as a result of some generous donations. On behalf of CHaD, thank you to all of our volunteers, sponsors and participants for making this such a success! A special thank you to our underwriter TeleAtlas, who also provided us with the largest fundraising team!

Cannon Mountain Ski Day for Kristen's Gift
Cannon Mountain hosted the 6th Annual Kristen's Gift Ski Day to support the pediatric oncology fund at CHaD. Underwritten by Fairpoint Communications, the event raised over $22,000! Twelve-year-old Taylor Cudhea raised over $4,000 to become the highest fundraiser of the event. The day featured family skiing on beautiful slopes and an exciting live auction and raffle, featuring over $12,000 in donated prizes. Younger participants took turns on the famous "spinning wheel" provided by Roger Proulx of Nassau Broadcasting, and came away with fantastic prizes. A good time was had by all.

DarDar Pediatric Clinic: Crossing borders to conquer AIDS Tanzania is one of the poorest countries in the world. Recent estimates suggest that 10% of the population may be HIV-positive. In its capital and the largest city, Dar es Salaam, the HIV infection rate for children can be "as high as 40% in select communities, higher than the incidence in the general population," according to Paul Palumbo, MD, and Executive Director, DarDar Pediatric Program.
